Universe and Mythology: Hethydect

The Drug: Hethydect

Nature and Appearance: Hethydect is a highly potent and toxic drug. It appears as a dark green liquid with black streams.

Method of Use: The drug is absorbed into the body through the skin, often poured from vials onto the user’s arm.

Effects: It is associated with a “high” but also has the potential to be fatal. The fluid in the user’s lungs can trigger a highly toxic gas related to the drug, suggesting severe internal consequences.

The Trade: The criminal enterprise surrounding the substance is referred to as the “Hethydect trade.”

The Source: The production and distribution of Hethydect are controlled by one man, Sage, a tall black man with silver streaks in his natural afro.

Distribution: The drug is distributed to “junkies” at temporary, clandestine locations called Hethydect Sites or Stations. These sites are described as pop-up structures or space stations, “built like a tin can.”

The Universe and Technology

The setting is a space faring future with specialized technology for travel and law enforcement:

Law Enforcement: The police are an organization that operates in space, with officers like Trevor and Mark working for the SSP (Special Space Police Station). Their main hub appears to be the C-Station.

Transportation:

Police Cruiser (T-70): The officers use a black metal space cruiser called a T-70.

Space Dog: A smaller, specialized spacecraft used in this universe. It is characterized by an exterior network of piping designed to circulate a higher concentrated fuel.

Police Wagon: A large, boxier vehicle used to transport arrested individuals from the field to the nearest police station.

Personal Movement (Displacer):

Displacers are personal devices, typically worn on a belt, used for instantaneous transmission (teleportation).

When activated, they cause a visible effect, appearing as a “silver burst” or “silvery streak.”

Although police use them, there are official regulations that advise against using the device to transmit through space.

Key Locations:

Western Sun: The name of the opening setting, which is a small space station where a drug raid takes place.

Coldren D: A specific base where Sage instructs his crew to gather.
