Glossary of Terms: The Ends of Time

A.P.B.: A floating, self propelled camera, a gunmetal gray disc with a lens, designed to find people the police are looking for.

Adam: A blond, bearded man who attempts to help The Stranger and Josh escape a mansion but is killed by gunfire. The Stranger later encounters a different man named Adam who does not know him.

Anne Farrow: The mother in the Farrow family, traveling to the year 2272.

Ben Farrow: The son in the Farrow family. He is identified as a direct descendant of Dictator Thayne, and his abduction is central to the plot.

Bobby: A character who is with Jenny, Gary, and the other Gary, and later fights Dictator Thayne’s bodyguard.

Cameron Getto: The name written on The Stranger’s photo ID card.

Captain Beel: A middle aged man and Police Captain who attempts to question Steve and Anne Farrow about the rebel’s identity.

Dictator Thayne: The main antagonist of the story, who wears a long red robe and a high futuristic collar. The Farrows are noted as his ancestors.

Fay: A character seen with Captain Beel and her son.

Gary: The given name of “The Stranger,” used by his friend Josh.

Gunther: Dictator Thayne’s bodyguard.

Inner Borders: A geographical or political location that The Stranger seeks to travel back to.

Jenny: Josh’s sister, who owns a houseboat.

Josh: The Stranger’s initial companion, who is shot by a figure behind a time portal.

The New Rule Arbitration: A historical event mentioned when discussing travel to the year 2272.

Old Fashion Travel: The name of the building/establishment that The Stranger uses to book travel.

Phon-o-mat: A glass hallway, one floor up, that connects two buildings and contains phones for making calls.

Planetary Police (Officers/Robots): The armed forces of the current regime. The force consists of human officers and mechanical robots.

Steve Farrow: The father in the Farrow family, excited about their time travel vacation to 2272.

The Stranger: The primary protagonist, later identified as Gary, who is a rebel fighting the regime.

Time Port: The name of the airport facility, located at the old LAX, that handles time travel.

Time Portal: A time travel device seen in the mansion, which emits an electric blue glow.

United Times: The counter/company at the Time Port used to check in for time travel.
